Moocha started as a passion project through word-of-mouth small sales. Our founder grew up in China, the birthplace of tea and matcha, where he developed a firsthand appreciation towards tea early on. Having both lived in Asia and being constantly surrounded by Asian communities, tea was always at the forefront of everyday life. It was deeply woven in culture, passed down through generations and not just merely a beverage. Moocha believes great tea embodies Asian excellence and is committed to representing our craft.
Despite many ongoing barriers to creating a high-quality matcha and tea company, our founder chose to pour his heart out into something meaningful and sought to create a purpose-driven brand. From farm to table, every tea is made possible through the hardwork of our farmers and partners in Japan.
Today, Moocha aims to provide authentic matcha and tea that is true to quality and accessible. As an Asian-owned brand, Moocha’s mission is to uphold Asian excellence through curating tea that customers like you can always trust with steadfast confidence.

We taste and evaluate each tea before release with care and intention. We do not release any teas unless it meets our standards.
We recognize everyone has different taste preferences and try to cater to everyone as much as possible. There is no universal “bad tea” as tea taste is unique to every individual so we hope that through our vigorous testing we are able to offer a tea that suits you!
