A new prefecture unlocked, a new matcha arrives. Matcha no. 12 is sourced from Aichi, a region renowned for its exceptional matcha. “Ai,” the Japanese word for love, is expressed through this matcha’s rich, robust, and fragrant flavor profile. It is characterized by its umami-forward taste, with notes of salted vanilla and roasted seaweed followed by a subtle bitterness.

No. 12 is a ceremonial-grade matcha that is picked in spring from first-harvest leaves. It is a blend of the Okumidori, Samidori, and Yabukita cultivars. Cultivated by an award-winning fifth-generation farm, our Aichi matcha derives its distinctive umami taste from mineral-rich red soil and organic fertilizers.
