The traditional hojicha, crafted with excellence. Our signature hojicha is sourced from Shizuoka, a region famous for Sencha which is the base used for our hojicha. Our hojicha is reminiscent of roasted chestnuts and black sesame. Made by dark roasting first harvest Yabukita leaves, our hojicha is deeply fragrant while still retaining the essence of Sencha tea flavor.
Our chestnut hojicha has a sweeter flavor profile with lower bitterness. Our partnered farm spans 23 generations and has won numerous awards in the Sencha category.
